WHO THEY ARE
Ligon Construction Co. specializes in home building and remodels in and around the Austin area. They pride themselves on quality craftsmanship and hard work. Period. The owner, John Ligon, is a true master of his art.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Ligon Construction Co. came to us in need of a rebrand. Like most construction companies they started with a name and logo to get them by for awhile. John realized that in order to grow his business and reputation he needed a brand that would stand level with the quality of work he provides. The old name had to go (5-Star Construction), there was too much competition on Google for the name 5-Star and after meeting John it just didn’t feel like a good fit. After landing on Ligon Construction Co. using his last name, we dove into the construction logo process. He wanted something early 1900’s, a timeless logo. Once the logo process finished up we built an easy to update and maintain Squarespace website that will display his portfolio of projects for years to come.

Logo designs for individuals who provide a service require us to really get to know our client, because the logo we create is essentially the graphical representation of what defines them as a business.
It’s so important for us to understand our clients and to guide them for future success. Had we just rebranded his existing company with the 5-Star Construction name he likely would have faced an uphill battle in Google exposure due to competition of the name “5-Star.” Not to mention potential brand confusion with all the other 5-Star Construction companies nationwide.
We worked tirelessly with John to land on the right design for his brand, and then showed him step-by-step how to stay on top of his new website, so he wouldn’t need to rely on anyone to make additions to his projects pages on the site, as his client base grows.
