WHO THEY ARE
Ilario's Italian Cuisine was established in 2011 and is a well established Italian restaurant in Kyle, Texas. They offer a wide array of both classic and modern Italian dishes and pizza.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Ilario’s Italian Cuisine approached us for a complete rebrand of their restaurant. The original logo was dated, and under new management they wanted something a bit more modern that could scale with the business. Through the creative process we honed in on a custom typeface and recognizably simple tomato icon for the brand. Once branding was set, they needed an attractive and low maintenance website that was informative for the customer and allowed online ordering for pickup or delivery. Lastly, a menu that was straight to the point, simple and clean to match the new branding. Their old menus read like a Macy’s catalog, full of options and descriptions that overwhelmed their customers.

In certain instances “italian cuisine” as a tagline would be helpful to the potential consumer to know what Ilario’s is all about. The new owner however likes the name on it’s own, so we provided a couple options to provide some flexibility. Eventually the tagline will be dropped, but the tagline version should help with the transition. Also, catering is a large part of their business so we created a sub logo used just for catering menus and brochures. Down the line we’ll add more sub brands, but it’s nice to have a simple way to distinguish between all the departments, especially for a restaurant looking to expand into different markets.
Squarespace websites are a great entry-level site that have powerful features and very low maintenance. We design lots of them.
A website is the core of your marketing channel. You want it to look great, be easy to navigate, be informative without being overbearing, and easy to update with very little maintenance. Your website should work with you, not against you. We find that Squarespace websites are a great tool for most new companies who don’t need all the bells and whistles of a custom WordPress site. Getting Squarespace websites to look great isn’t an easy task, we have a refined method for getting the most out of their platform, and they’re very budget friendly.
