Señor Chulo Salsa provides a fresh salsa variety located in the refrigerated section of grocery stores in California.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Señor Chulo Salsa came to us in need of branding for their new family of fresh salsas. They wanted something with attitude that would set them apart from more traditional salsa brands, something to disrupt the refrigerated salsa market. Once all the branding assets were built out we dove into salsa package design then website design to bring it home.

Flexible branding is key.
It’s our job to envision how your branding will live in the market, and we need to set you up for success. It was important to them that they can market specific flavors of their salsas through various channels, so a logo set with different colorways was needed. The Pancho version wasn’t going to work in every application, so we versioned out logotypes for the simpler applications. A secondary Mexican Golden Eagle mark was designed, inspiration from the Mexican flag, gripping into a jalapeño that can be used a design element across the board. Lastly, taglines were created to push the envelope on brand attitude.
Squarespace websites are a great entry-level site that have powerful features and very low maintenance. We design lots of them.
A website is the core of your marketing channel. You want it to look great, be easy to navigate, be informative without being overbearing, and easy to update with very little maintenance. Your website should work with you, not against you. We find that Squarespace websites are a great tool for most new companies who don’t need all the bells and whistles of a custom WordPress site. Getting Squarespace websites to look great isn’t an easy task, we have a refined method for getting the most out of their platform, and they’re very budget friendly.
