St. Andrew’s Episcopal School, established in 1952 in Austin, Texas, serves over 900 K-12 students and offers a wide range of sports programs. Known for its strong community and academic excellence, the school recently sought to refresh its identity with a new mascot to better represent its spirit.
St. Andrew’s partnered with Left Hand Design to rebrand their mascot, transitioning from The Crusaders to The Highlanders through a vote by students, parents, and faculty. After exploring several concepts, we selected the Red Deer, native to Scotland, as the school’s new mascot. Left Hand Design developed a full branding rollout for the athletics program and prepared all materials for the big reveal on the first day of school in 2018, resulting in a cohesive and memorable new identity for St. Andrew’s sports teams.
